One of Lithgow's best known industrialists, Mr. Albert Edward Beljon, passed away in hospital on Saturday afternoon at the age of 65.

He is survived by a family of three sons and two daughters. Members of the family are, Mr. Ernest Keith Beljon (Pottery Enclosure), Mr. Albert Beljon (Littleton), Mr. Gilbert Leslie (Macauley-street), Mrs. W. Carter (Bridge-street), Miss Edna Beljon (Pottery Enclosure) .

In addition he leaves five brothers, Alex (Hassan's Walls Road), Lithgow, Lew (Waterloo), Walter (Fairfield), Jack (Methven-street, Lithgow) and William (Laurence-street, Lithgow). To all, sincere sympathy will be extended.

Born at Lidsdale, Mr. Beljon had resided in the district nearly all his life. He was employed as a miner at the Hermitage Colliery for 38 years, and some 14 years ago was forced to retire through ill health. He was highly respected and had a wide circle of friends.

The funeral moved from the parlors of Messrs. Matthews and Lemon yesterday afternoon after a service by the Rev. A. E. Begbie, interment being made in the family plot in the Church of England portion of Bowenfels cemetery.

Messrs. Matthews and Lemon had charge of arrangements.

The pall-bearers were Messrs. E. Beljon, J. Beljon, A. Beljon (sons), E. Sloane (Hermitage Miners' Lodge), G. Gore (Ancient Order of Foresters' Lodge) and J. Hunter (friend). The last rites of the order were read at the graveside by Bro. H. J. Waters, secretary of the Ancient Order of Foresters' Lodge.
