- Alfred Laurence Fisher, son of Andrew and Sarah Rebecca Fisher, was born February 22, 1878 in Lineville, Iowa. He died at the home of his son Glenn in Hamburg, March 25, 1960 at the age of 82 years, one month and three days. As a small child he accompanied his parents to Nebraska in a covered wagon where they homesteaded land. After living there for several years, they returned to the Hamburg Community which has since been his home. He was a faithful member of the Hamburg Methodist Church for many years. On December 9, 1897 he was united in marriage to Dora May Woolsey. To this union two sons were born, Clyde J. of Tulsa, Okla. and Glenn E of Hamburg. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and two grandchildren, Max Fisher of Tulsa, Okla., and Janice of Hamburg and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Sunday March 27 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. M J Nash officiating. Internment was in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
