Amelia Ann Whittle (24 July 1831 - 1889), also spelt Amelia Anne Whittle or Amelia Anna Whittle, lived in Kent.
Amelia Ann Whittle was born on 24 July 1831. She was christened on 9 March 1832, in St. Mary's, Chatham, Kent. Her parents were John and Sarah Whittle. Her siblings were Sarah, Frederick and Alice, although there may have been more. Her mother's surname may have been Pelham as that was her brother's middle name. Amelia and her sister Alice never were spinsters and lived together. By the time of the 1881 census, they were living 13 Star Hill, Rochester St. Margaret, Kent, with two servants, Ellen J. Wakefield, a cook and Sarah A. Crabb, a housemade. Amelia and Alice both said they were living of dividends. Neither Amelia nor Alice lived very long though, Amelia died in Medway, Kent, in 1889 aged fifty-seven and Alice died in Medway aged fifty-seven in 1898.
