Anna von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel was born circa 1460 in Hardegsen, Lower Saxony, Germany to Wilhelm II. von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (c1425-1503) and Elisabeth zu Stolberg-Wernigerode (-c1520) and died 16 May 1520 in Worms, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany of unspecified causes. She married Wilhelm I. von Hessen (1466-1515) 17 February 1488 JL in Hann. Münden, Lower Saxony, Germany.
