Annet Munters (1915-2009)

Biography[]

Annet, as she was known, was born in 1915 Her father died when she was just five of tuberculosis. Her mother, Annet, and Annet's two sisters Greet and Maria, moved in with their grandmother, Margaret's mother. Their Margaret made a living for her elderly mother and three young children by writing poems and novels. During World War II, Annet's sister Greet died in a concentration camp. Annet was widowed and died herself in 2009 aged ninety-four.

Annet was the eldest daughter of Emil Beijen and Margaret van der Borgh. Annet was married to a Mr Munters.
