Obituary

COLLAPSED AT WORK
Mr. A. E. Saul's Death

Mr. Arthur Edward Saul, well known Goonellabah farmer, died suddenly while at work yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Saul was engaged in plowing about 200 yards from the house all the morning, appearing in normal health. After dinner he returned to the work with his son, Mr. Bert Saul, and about 1:30 stopped the plow to remove a piece of wood that was in the way. He was in the act of throwing the wood over a fence when his son saw him collapse. Medical aid was promptly secured, but Mr. Saul was found to be dead.

INQUEST ON SATURDAY

Constable Ritchie had the body re moved to Lismore, where it was viewed by the Coroner. An inquest will be held next Saturday morning.

Born at Gundurimba, the late Mr. Saul, who was 57 years of age, resided in the district all his life. He lived at Alphadale for 22 years before coming to Goonellabah, where he spent the last six years. He was a member of the M.U.I.O.O.F.

A widow, six sons and four daughters survive. Daughters are Mesdames Ashley Watt (Caniaba), Eric Bown (Dunoon), T. Pryce (Boorie), and Arthur Dann (Clovass), and the sons, Edward (Tweed River), Roy, Colin, Bert, Douglas, and Neville, all of Goonellabah.

The funeral will leave St. Paul's Church (C. of E.), Wollongbar, at 2 p.m. to-day for the C. of E. portion of the Wollongbar cemetery. There will be a service in the church at 1.45 p.m.
