Arthur Joseph James Matthews was born 22 January 1888 in Taralga, New South Wales, Australia to Daniel Bernard Matthews (1842-1897) and Mary Buckman (1849-1903) and died 26 October 1896 Taralga, New South Wales, Australia of drowning.
