August Wilhelm von Preußen was born 9 August 1722 in Berlin, Germany to Friedrich Wilhelm I. in Preußen (1688-1740) and Sophie Dorothea von Hannover (1687-1757) and died 12 June 1758 in Oranienburg of unspecified causes. He married Luise Amalie von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (1722-1780) 6 January 1742 in Berlin, Germany.
