Ensign Ezekiel Pratt son of John Pratt and Bathsheba Fay was born February 4,1718 and died in 1756 or 1757. He married Mary Grout of Westboro, MA on February 14,1813 who was born in 1720 and died on May 14 1813.
He served as ensign in Captain Samuel Robinson's company, Colonel TimothyRuggles' regiment in the French and Indian war 1755- 56. He was engaged in battle near Lake George under Sir William Johnson with Colonel Timothy Ruggles. He passed over the country that is now Bennington, where hi company halted for two days on what is now Old Bennington. He lived a short time after reaching his home Hardwick.
His wife Mary moved to Vermont with her son Stephen where she died at the age of ninety three.
