Berenguela of Castile, Queen regnant of Castile, Queen regnant of Toledo, was born circa 1180 in Segovia, Spain to Alfonso VIII, King of Castile (1155-1214) and Eleanor of England (1162-1214) and died 8 November 1246 at Abbey of Santa María la Real de Las Huelgas in Burgos, Spain of unspecified causes. She married Alfonso IX, King of León (1171-1230) in Valladolid, Spain.
