He served as an airplane mechanic. The oral family tradition was that he took an airplane for a ride without permission and was punished by being lowered in rank.

First marriageEdit

In 1920 Clifford appears in the census living in Buffalo, New York with Millie V. Van Steenburg (1896-?) as his wife. Millie was the daughter of Anna M. (1872-?) and Edward Van Steenburg (1871-?) who was a carpenter at an automobile factory. Millie had a brother: Roy Van Steenburg (1903-?) who worked as a chauffeur for a private family. Carl was working as a machinist at an airplane factory.

Second marriageEdit

He married May S. X (1897-1972) in 1927.

Bradford, Merrimack, New Hampshire: In 1930 Carl and May were living in Bradford, Merrimack, New Hampshire. In the home were their children and Carl's brother Howard Milner. They owned their own home valued at $1,200 and Carl was working as a machinist.

World War II: Carl appears to have registered for the draft for WWII but did not serve.

Death: He died in May of 1968 in Bradford, Merrimack, New Hampshire.
