Obituary

CLAUD CRAMP

A sad death occurred at the Lismore General Hospital on Friday evening last when Claud Cramp, aged 17 years, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Cramp, of Keen-street, passed to the Great Beyond. About 10 days ago the deceased lad complained of a pain in his side and a violent headache, and not getting any better, medical advice was sought, with the result that he was ordered to the General Hospital, and an operation for appendicitis was found necessary. As, however, he did not get the relief he should have, a further operation was found necessary from which he gradually sank and passed away. The young lad was of a quiet and unassuming nature, and had many friends. Up till the departure of Mr. and Mrs. Simmond for their holiday he was in the former's office and then he was delivering papers for this office in South Lismore. The remains, which were followed by a considerable cortege, were interred in the Roman Catholic cemetery on Saturday, the Rev. Father Gunn officiating at the grave. The deepest sympathy is felt with the parents in their sad bereavement.
