Caroline Emma Parkins (1884 - 1922)


Caroline Emma Parkins was born in 1884 in Brentford, Middlesex. Her parentes were George Robert Parkins (1853-1906), a fisherman, and Caroline Sedgwick (1860-1920), a fishmonger(ess). She had a brother, James George Parkins (1886-1941). In 1903 in Brentford, Caroline married Oliver William Yeates (1878-1948), orginally from Frome, Somerset, the son of William Henry Yeates (1847-1917) and Mary Ann Sheppard (1844-?), who were married in 1868. Oliver and Caroline had the following children, all born in Brentford:

  • Lilian Florence Yeates (born 1907) married 1927 to Oliver J Harris
  • Olive Harriet Yeates (1911-1979) married 1930 to Bernard Sidney Saggers (born 1908); had one daughter, Brenda M Saggers (born 1938 in Brentford) and two sons, Bernard L Saggers (1931-1938) and Arthur L F Saggers (born 1936 in Brentford); died in Avon
  • Ethel M Yeates (born 1913) married 1934 to Albert Frank Ilbrey (1908-1987)
  • May A Yeates (born 1915) married 1939 to Ronald S Smith; had one son, Stanley J Smith (born 1941 in Brentford)
  • Joan E Yeates (1922-1923)
