WE regret having to record the death of Mrs. Caroline Webster, of Bigga, a very old and respected resident, which sad event took place at Crookwell, at 2 p.m. on Saturday last. Deceased had been ailing for about three months, and was under the care of Dr. Pawlett; but despite his unremitting attention she passed away, at the hour above mentioned, from a complication of diseases, at the age of 63 years. Deceased was born at Richlands, Taralga, and afterwards resided at Redground, Laggan, for over 30 years. Mrs. Webster was of an amiable disposition and endeared herself to all with whom she came in contact. Deceased was married twice. She leaves two daughters and six sons to mourn their loss ; the daughters are Mrs. Reuben Picker and Mrs. John Hailstone, of Bigga, the sons are Messrs. George (married), Robert, John (married), Henry, James and Charles Hood, all of Bigga. Deceased was a sister of Mrs. G. E. Moore, of Lake Bathurst, and Messrs. W. Talbot, Carrabungla, Laggan, and John Talbot of Queensland. A great many wreaths were placed on the coffin (which was a handsome one) by friends and sympathisers. The funeral cortege left Crookwell for Binda yesterday morning, the remains being interred in the Church of England cemetery at the same place. The Rev. H. E. Hetherington officiated at the grave.
