This is a "tracking category", a category intended to build and maintain a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. Rather than being part of the wiki's categorization scheme, these categories are used to track, for example, the use of syntaxes that may be deprecated in the future, to maintain a list of pages that may need to be edited en masse later, or to aggregate the members of several subcategories by other classifications into one larger list.

A tracking category is one intended to maintain a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself, and is not inherently useful within a linear hierarchic categorization (one path) scheme, but serves as a 'union' (versus 'intersection') of categories, thus building a list that is useful outside such schemes.
