Charles Campbell was born 10 February 1899 in Rockley, New South Wales, Australia to John Francis Campbell (1865-1909) and Eliza Charlotte Godden (1873-1960) and died 9 April 1951 Caloola Street, Newbridge, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Lily Gladys Gold (1906-1995) 1928 in Blayney, New South Wales, Australia.





Obituary

The death occurred yesterday suddenly at his residence, of Mr. Charles Campbell, of Caloola St., Newbridge. Deceased, who was 52 years of age, was born at Back Creek, in the Rockley distrlct, and had resided at Newbridge for many years, where he was employed by the Railways Department. He comes from one of the best known and respected families of the district. He was the son of Mrs. Eliza Campbell, of Newbridge, and the late John Francis Campbell. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Lily Campbell, and a family of five sons, Ronald, Maxwell, Bruce, Cliff and Geoffrey, three daughters, Nancy, Marion and Beverley, also five brothers, James (Georges Plains), Reuben (Thirroul), Leslie (Orange), Cecil and Harold (Newbridge), and one sister, Eliza (Mrs. E. Simmons, of Corrimal). The funeral will take place this afternoon, moving from the Church of England, Newbridge, after a service commencing at 3 o'clock, for interment in the Newbridge cemetery—Stan McGuinn has charge of funeral arrangements.
