On birth certificate: His father, Henry was 40, a boundary rider, and born at Orange. His mother Mary Ann Whitely nee Jobson, was 30 and born at Orange. His parents marriage was on 9th December, 1878 in Orange. Previous children of the marriage are only listed as '1 male and 2 females living, 1 male and 1 female deceased". The informant was Mary Ann Whiteley, mother, Caleula, Kerrs Creek. Registration was on 25th April 1893 in Orange.

On their marriage certificate: Charles Henry is listed as a labourer and 'Gracie' has home duties. Charles lived a Enfield and Gracie at Liverpool. They were married with Church of England rites. Charles was listed as bachelor and Gracie as spinster. Charles birthplace was Orange and Gracies was Granville. Charles was 32 and Gracie was 21. Charles parents were Henry Whiteley and Mary Ann Jobson with Lobsen crossed out and initialed. Gracies parents were Edgar Sidney Kable and Elizabeth Javens with Lavens crossed out and initialed. Seems there was some difficulty reading the letter J. Both of their fathers were listed as labourers. The minister was S. M. Johnstone and the witnesses were L. (maybe J?) Kable and H. M. Hayden. Their marriage was registered on the 29th March 1926.

On death certificate: occupation was listed as labourer on Perway (something to do with the railways), male, 66 years. Charles died in the District Hospital at Wellington and he lived at 'Montefiores Wellington'. He was born at Orange. His father was Henry Whiteley, farm labourer and his mother was Mary Ann Jobson. Charles had been married in Liverpool to Grace Cable (see Mary Elizabeth Kable (1904)-(1994?) but the 'Conjugal condition' at time of death was unknown (I know their marriage broke up about 1931 and Grace / Mary obtained a divorce just after WWII). His daughter is listed as Valerie J Unknown (married in 1950 to Derm Hennessy). The informant was R.P. Goninan, nephew, 55 Thornton Street Wellington. The cause of death was: a. Status Epilepticus, b. ? Cerebral embolism, c. Collapsed lungs. The death was certified by N.D. Barton (Registered). Charles was buried on 20th March 1960 at Church of England Cemetery, and the undertaker was Murray Bros. The minister was A.J. Ralson, Church of England and the witnesses were L.J. Goninan and R.P. Goninan. The death was registered on 21st March 1960.
