Charlotte Busby (c1792-aft1822) was a pioneer of Harrison County, Ohio.

Charlotte was born around 1792 in Maryland. Her father's name was Providence Busby.

1820 CensusEdit

It is believed that Charlotte resided with her stepfather and stepmother Zebadiah and Zepporah Cox in the 1820 census of Archer Township, Harrison County, Ohio.

MarriageEdit

Charlotte married her stepfather Zebadiah Cox (c1747-1825) February 11, 1822 in Harrison County, Ohio.[1] The following notice appeared in the Harrison Telegraph on February 20, 1822:

MARRIED on Monday the 11th inst. by the Rev. Elijah C. Stone, Mr. Zebedee Cox in the 73rd year of his age, to Miss Charlotte Busby, aged 30.[2]

Zebediah died June 15, 1823 or 1825. The marriage resulted in a son Harrison Cox (c1823-aft1850).

Charlote resided with her son Harrison Cox in the 1850 census of Archer Township, Harrison County, Ohio. The household is listed as follows:
