Christina von Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf was born 13 April 1573 in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany to Adolf von Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf (1526-1586) and Christine von Hessen (1543-1604) and died 8 December 1625 in Mariefred, Sweden of unspecified causes. She married Karl IX of Sweden (1550-1611) 8 July 1592 .
