Christof von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Herzog zu Mecklenburg, Administrator zu Ratzeburg, was born 30 June 1537 in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany to Albrecht VII. von Mecklenburg-Güstrow (1488-1547) and Anna von Brandenburg (1507-1567) and died 4 March 1592 in Kloster Tempzin, Brüel, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany of unspecified causes. He married Dorothea of Denmark (1528-1575) 27 October 1573 JL in Kolding, Denmark. He married Elisabet of Sweden (1549-1597) 1581 JL in Stockholm, Sweden.
