Edward was created Duke of Cornwall in 1338, the first Duke in England. He was known for also being called Edward the Black Prince.
During the Battle of Poitiers, he knighted Sir Knight Ellis Hicks (xxxx-yyyy) for bravery in capturing a set of colors from France.
