Eli David Emmerton was born 1 January 1875 in Greenwich Park, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia to Alfred Emmerton (1829-1909) and Mary Bodsworth (1835-1932) and died 22 May 1943 Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Amy Clarrisa Todkill (1890-1934) 1907 in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia. He married Euphemia Ann McLaurin (1871-1964) 21 November 1936 in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
The death occurred of Mr. Eli David Emmerton, 68, of 11 Citizen Street on Saturday at his residence.
Deceased was well known and held in high regard by his many friends both at Goulburn and at Brayton, where he lived until about eight years ago. Mr. Emmerton was married twice. He is survived by a widow, two daughters Mrs. R. (Mya) Betts (Goulburn), Mrs. E. (Iris) Murdoch (Sydney), and three sons, Max (Brooklyn), Horace (Bethungra), and Lloyd (Marulan). Ten step-children, five sisters and two brothers also survive him.
The funeral left Craig's Funeral Parlours for the Church of England Cemetery, Brayton at 1.30 p.m. to-day.
