Esther Whiticker was born 31 July 1869 in Gundagai, New South Wales, Australia to Richard Whiticker (1834-1912) and Mary Anne Clarke (1838-1919) and died 3 December 1935 Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. She married James Richard Derrick (1871-1954) 26 April 1893 in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
The death occurred in a private hospital in Wagga last night of Mrs. Esther Derrick, of 'Happy Valley,' Tumblong, after a short illness, at the age of 66 years. Mrs. Derrick was the wife of Mr. James Richard Derrick, of 'Happy Valley,' Tumblong, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Whittaker, of Jellingroo. She had lived at 'Happy Valley' for 42 years and had resided in the Tumblong district all her life, where she was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends. She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Mrs. G. P. Crain, of Mt. Adrah, Mrs. H. S. Prowse, of Oura, and Mrs. Chas. Jones, of Nangus; two sons, Messrs. James Richard, of Tumblong, and William George Derrick, of Tarcutta; Three sisters, Mrs. J. Crain, of Mt. Adrah; Mrs. M. Dennis, of 'Parkley,' Adelong, and Mrs. S. Diamond, of Tumblong; and two brothers, Messrs John Whittaker, of Wagga, and William Whittaker, of Jellingroo. The fluneral will move from St. John's Church of England, Wagga at 1.30 o'clock to-day for the Tumblong cemetery, where the interment will take place at 4 o'clock. The service it St. John's will begin at 1.15 p.m.
