Flag of Portugal, created by Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro (1857-1929), João Pinheiro Chagas (1863-1925) and Abel Botelho (1855-1917), officially adopted by Portuguese government in June 30th 1911.
The green represents hope and the red represents the blood of those who died serving the nation in the countless wars.
