See Coefficient of Inbreeding (CoI) for a proposal to compute a CoI. The CoI would be stored as a property and calculated recursively. Besides the value of the information on the CoI itself, it would in time permit us to look at the correlation of the CoI with such things as longevity and infant mortality.
The only drawback is that I propose to use my own definition, as Sewell's definition is incomplete and (nigh?) impossible to compute here. rtol 09:56, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- Implemented. See Genealogy:Statistics/SMW tidbits for first results. Do report when something weird pops up. rtol 05:38, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- At the moment, Chuck is the second most inbred person on Familypedia after his uncle (i.a.) Leo. rtol 07:47, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
