Francoise was born 1622, in Wicres, Artois, France. Her father was Chretien Du Bois (c1590-1655). Her mother's given name was Cornelia.

Francoise settled first in Leyden, Holland. She then married Pierre Billiou and immigrated to New York in 1660, settling on Staten Island.
