Frederik of Denmark was born 11 October 1753 in Christiansborg Palace, Copenhagen, Denmark to Frederik V of Denmark (1723-1766) and Juliana Maria von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (1729-1796) and died 7 December 1805 in Amalienborg Palace, Copenhagen, Denmark of unspecified causes. He married Sophie Friederike von Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1758-1794) 21 October 1774 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
