Georg V. Friedrich Alexander Karl Ernst August Welf von Hannover, King of Hanover, Duke of Cumberland and Teviotdale, Earl of Armagh, was born 27 May 1819 in Berlin to Ernest Augustus I of Hanover (1771-1851) and Friederike Luise Karoline Sofie von Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1778-1841) and died 12 June 1878 in Paris of unspecified causes. He married Marie von Sachsen-Altenburg (1818-1907) 18 February 1843 in Hanover.
