Biographical details

He was Member of Parliament for Huntingdonshire 1761–1762. In 1783, he was appointed a Privy Councillor in 1782.

He married Elizabeth Dashwood, daughter of Sir James Dashwood, 2nd Baronet on 22 October 1762.
