He married Dorothy Blanche Groome (1895-1971) 2 August 1918 .

In his teens George was orphaned by the death of his father and went to live with his aunt and uncle , Uncle Charlie and Aunt Lot at 51 Grafton Road , New Malden.

Designer of the Hale - Lyle radio receiver.

Lived at 36, Dagnall Park, South Norwood, SE25.

Lived at 182, Grand Drive , Raynes Park, from 1920 until death.
