Getrude May "Gertie" Stevens (née Nicholas) (1911 - December 13, 2003), better known as May Stevens (née Nicholas), was the wife of William Howard "Bill" Stevens, sister of Melbourne, Nicholas and Alice Nicholas, and mother of Graham and Howard Stevens. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas (née Pickton) from the Fishguard area in a house near her later home, she hated her name and preferred to be known by her middle name, May. She met and married William Howard Stevens, who she nicknamed "Bill", and sired two sons; Howard (or "Howey") and Graham.


Early Life

Gertrude was born in a house in Wales to Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas (née Pickton) from the Fishguard area, descendants of Jemima Nicholas.
