BiographyHarkless Angel was born 19 August 1853 in Sutton Forest, New South Wales, Australia to Walter Thomas Angel (c1803-1859) and Emma Hines (1833-1919) and died 14 November 1931 in Wentworthville, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Elizabeth Witt (1857-1932) 1878 in Berrima, New South Wales, Australia.
At the age of 78 years, the death occurred at Wentworthville near Parramatta, on November 14 of Mr. Harklass Angel; father of Mrs. J. S. Parmenter, of the Recreation Ground, Lismore.
The late Mr. Angel, who was ill a long time, was known to many Lismore residents, having spent a holiday in the town about 12 months ago. He was born at Sutton Forest (N.S. Wales) where he carried on sheep farming until about six years ago when he retired and settled at Wentworthville. During his four months illness, Mrs. Parmenter was with him and returned to Lismore on Saturday evening. The late Mr. Angel is survived by a widow and the following family : Messrs. Oliver Angel (Kangaroo Valley), Frederick (Kangaroo Valley), Theodore (Bowral), Lionel (Moss Vale), James (Leichhardt), and Mesdames J. S. Parmenter (Lismore), B. Connor (Mittagong), T. Cogswell (Moss Vale) and H. Howard (Wentworthville). The funeral, which was largely attended, took place the following day.
