Obituary - Hazel G. Moore, 81 by the Independent Press Monday May 18, 2009, 2:48 PM
Hazel V. Moore (nee Gore), 81, of Berkeley Heights died at Overlook Hospital, Summit, on Friday, May 15, 2009. Visitation was held at the Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial on May 17, and the funeral began at the funeral home on May 18, followed by a service at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Berkeley Heights. Interment was in St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung.
Mrs. Moore was born in St. Joseph, Mo., and resided in Berkeley Heights for the past 50 years.
She was active in the community, where she was the president of the Columbia School PTA and a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, as well as serving on the Board of Deacons. She also was a board member of the Somerset-Hunterdon Bowling Association and the Babyland and Thrift Shop in Newark.
The wife of Ernest P. Moore, she was the mother of Pamela and Roger Moore of California, Vickie and Richard Brown of Virginia and Debbie and Martin Treich of Oakland, N.J.; sister of the late Maxine Jones; and grandmother of Rebecca, Brian and Greg.
