New York Times; January 19, 1981: "Henrik Antell, Purchasing Agent At The Times for 17 Years, Dies. Henrik Antell, a former purchasing agent of The New York Times, died Friday at the Veterans Medical Center in Canandaigua, N.Y. He was 85 years old and a resident of Brooklyn Heights. He was born in Brooklyn and received his B.A. from Cornell University. He joined the Army in World War I, and in World War II was a major, and later a colonel, in the Southwest Pacific Theater. He rejoined The Times in 1946 and was named purchasing agent, a post he retained until his retirement in 1963. Mr. Antell is survived by his widow, the former Dorothy Van Horn; two sons, Ralph E. of Richmond and Robert H. of Pittsford, N.Y.; two daughters, Jean Feltner of Houston and Sara Geyer of Scarborough, N.Y.; a brother, Tristan of Brooklyn Heights; two sisters, Mrs. Valborg Krogius of Brooklyn Heights, and Eleanor Virgil of Mineola, L.I., 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren."
