Henry Arthur Attenborough, Esq. (1849-1930) was an English jeweller, farmer and grazier.


Henry Arthur Attenborough was born in London, England in 1849. His parents were George Attenborough (c.1820-1892) and Sarah Emma Parsons (c.1823-1897), who were married in Sussex in 1844. Henry had one younger sister, Emma (1850-1914) who married Gilbert Richard Redgrave (1844-1941). In 1875 in Kensington Henry married Amy Eleanor Borras (1851-1918), the daughter of Robert Borras (c.1809-1889), a fur merchant and Harriet (c.1811-1883). Henry worked with his father in a company called George Attenborough & Son, jewellers of London. Henry was also the chairman of a pawnbroking association established in 1895 and became a prominent figure of the pawnbroking world in the first quarter of the 20th century. Amy Eleanor Attenborough died in 1918 in Daventry aged sixty-six and Henry Arthur Attenborough died, also in Daventry, in 1930 aged eighty-one.
