Herbert II du Maine, Count of Maine, was born circa 1048 to Hugues IV du Maine (c1006-1051) and Bertha de Blois (?-bef1085) and died 1062 of unspecified causes. Notable ancestors include Charlemagne (747-814), Alfred the Great (849-899). Ancestors are from France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium.
Herbert died young, unmarried, and without children. His county was occupied by  Geoffrey Martel. Herbert was in exile at the court of  William the Conqueror and made William's  son (Herbert's brother-in-law to be) his heir.
