Sophia Hozapha Besquante Wood was born circa 1797 in San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa, Basque Country, Spain and died 5 March 1868 in Millfield, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. She married Thomas Budds (1788-1833) circa 1813 in Spain. She married William Sweetman (1805-1885) 9 April 1835 in Maitland, New South Wales, Australia.


She was known as "Sophia" in Australia.
