James Stuart was born 19 June 1566 in Edinburgh, Midlothian to Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley (1545-1567) and Mary Stewart, Queen of Scotland (1542-1586) and died 27 March 1625 in Cheshunt, in Hertfordshire, at the age of 59 years of unspecified causes. James married Anne of Denmark 20 August 1589 in Frederiksberg, Denmark.
