James Stickler was born circa 1822 in Pucklechurch, Bristol (Pucklechurch+ Bristol+ England) to James Stickler (c1793-1855) and Sarah Angell (1797-1863) and died 8 February 1896 in Pucklechurch, Bristol (Pucklechurch+ Bristol+ England) of unspecified causes. Ancestors are from the United Kingdom.

James born in 1822 was the fourth child of James Stickler and Sarah Angell. He remained a bachelor throughout his life and lived for many years with his parents. Following the death of his father he shared a dwelling with Enoch, his younger brother at 29 Parkfield Road, Pucklechurch (1871). In 1891 the Pucklechurch census lists James (age sixty nine) as residing at the 'Farm House' on Westerleigh Road, Pucklechurch and a 'cripple' with occupation of 'general labourer'. James died in 1896 at age seventy four and was buried in Pucklechurch on 11 February 1896.
