James Wandesford Butler was born 18 May 1815 to James Wandesford Butler, 1st Marquess of Ormonde (1777-1838) and Grace Louisa Staples (1779-1860) and died 13 December 1893 of unspecified causes. He married Rachel Evelyn Russell (1826-1898) 3 April 1856 .
