James Weddell Turnbull (1836-1862) was born 6 February 1836 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland to James Turnbull (1798-1858) and Margaret Weddell (1803-1878) and died 13 July 1862 in Horley, Sussex, England of unspecified causes. Ancestors are from the United Kingdom.

Born in Edinburgh the second son of the Rev. James Turnbull, minister in the Relief Church and his spouse Margaret Weddell. The family moved to Sydenham near London around 1845 and then to East Grinstead. After the death of the Rev. James, the family moved to Horley where young James died unmarried in 1862.
