Johann Jakob zu Rappoltstein was born 12 February 1598 in Ribeauville to Eberhard zu Rappoltstein (1570-1637) and Anna zu Salm-Kyrburg (1572-1608) and died 28 July 1673 of unspecified causes. He married Anna Claudina zu Salm-Kyrburg (1615-1673) 30 November 1637 .
