On birth certificate: John was born at Elderslie near Camden. His father was a farmer and 32 years old and he was born in Dundrum, Tipperary, Ireland. His mother was 25 and born in Morrough, Tipperary, Ireland. His parents were married in 1849 at Dundrum, Tipperary, Ireland and there were 2 previous children, Honora 5 and Margaret 4, both living and one boy and one girl dead. The informant was 'Andrew, his X mark, Hennessy', father, Elderslie. There was only one witness, Mr or Mrs (that part is a scribble) Hennessy. The birth was registered on 20th November 1857 at Camden.

On marriage certificate: John has acquired an extra name! He's now John Joseph. John and Patience were bachelor and spinster. They were married at Canowindra according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church. John was a farmer at Merryganonery (unclear handwriting) NSW and Patience was living with parents at Tretho (unclear handwriting) Creek. Niether of their parents are mentioned. The witnesses are Denis Hennessy and Mary Agnes Breen. The minister was Daniel Aloysius McGouth (and again with the unclear handwriting).

On death certificate: John died at The District Hospital, late of (unreadable, guessing Cowra Municipality). He was 86 years. He died of a) Myocarditis and b) Senility which he'd had for a) 2 months and b) 8 years. The doctor was W. Garner registered and he last saw John on the day he died. His father was Andrew Hennessy, farmer and his mother was Catherine Ryan. The informant was J. Hennessy (J. Hennessey crossed out), son, 348 Bronte Road Waverley. The death was registered on 8 December 1942. John was buried on 7 December 1942 at the Roman Catholic Cemetery at Cowra and the undertaker was A. P. Simeon of the firm of A. P. Simeon &Co. The minister was P. Masterson, Roman Catholic and the witnesses were T. L. Whitty and W. Samson. John was born at Campbelltown and married at Canowindra, at 25 years, to Patience Teresa Breen. The children were Andrew J. 59 years, John 57, twins Grace E and Johanna G 54, Kathleen N 52, Bernard 51, Leo T. 49, Joseph J 47, Marie 44, Gordon D. 40, twins Eric P and Doris B 38, 3 males and one female deceased.
