Was actually James Joseph Neville and was the youngest of the 13 siblings. James birth was not registered so have been unable to confirm that he was born in 1882 in Bathurst, NSW, Australia.

He married Emily Amelia Fitzsimmons in 1913 in Glebe, NSW. (NSW BDM index 6671/1913)

They had two children: James Albert Bertram Neville - born 20 October 1915 and June Neville - born 24 June 1920

James was a Fire Brigade Inspector.

He died at the St John of God Hospital, Belmont Park, North Richmond on 7 October 1962. (NSW BDM index 35926/1962) He was buried 10 November 1962 at the Roman Catholic Cemetary, Waverley.

His fathers name on his death certificate is incorrectly recorded as James Neville instead of Patrick Neville. Unlikely that Patrick even met James as Patrick died April of 1882 and from calculations off marriage and death certs for James he was born towards the end of 1882.

James mother Mary (nee Shanahan) remarried in 1885 (NSW BDM index 4053/1885). Her new husband Michael Cashman treated James like a son and apparently James was known as 'little Jimmy Cashman' throughout his childhood, not reverting to using the surname of Neville until he was an adult.
