Joseph I of Habsburg, Holy Roman Emperor (1678-1711) was born 26 July 1678 in Vienna, Austria to Leopold I of the Holy Roman Empire (1640-1705) and Eleonore Magdalene von Pfalz-Neuburg (1655-1720) and died 17 April 1711 in Vienna, Austria of smallpox. He married Amalia Wilhelmine von Braunschweig-Lüneburg (1673-1742) 24 February 1699 in Vienna, Austria.
