He lived in Leicester and pursued the occupation of a tanner with his father and also carried on a farm.  He was named for General Joseph Warren.  Associates described him as a genial, kindhearted man, a good citizen and good neighbor.

1. Caroline Warren (1811-) - M. Nelson Waite - had nine children
2. Albert Warren (1813-1880) m. first Eunice Alden Arnold in May 1839 and 2) her sister Eliza - descendants of Mayflower pilgrem John Alden. Manufacturer of clother  at Lawrence MA and later mayor of the City.
3. Leander Warren (1813-1862)
