Kunigunde Barbara Bach was born on January 16, 1832 in Württemburg, Germany to Johann Konrad Bach and Anna Maria Schmidt. She married first to (unknown first name) Breiter in 1854, and they had one son. She then married to Johann Georg Trump on March 20, 1864 in Tauberscheckenbach, Württemberg, Germany. They had a total of seven children; two of their children died young. Her husband died on September 7, 1886.

Her family's immigration to the United States started in 1885, when her son Lorenz went to America. Her son Andrew followed in 1888. In 1889, Barbara, and her children Leonard, Helen, and Katherine, left their homeland and made their way to the port at Rotterdam, Netherlands. They left for the United States on the S.S. Rotterdam. They arrived in the United States on September 5, 1889 at Castle Garden in New York City.

Barbara, Leonard, Helen, and Katherina settled in Westfield, New York, where Lorenz and Andrew lived. In the 1900 census, Barbara lived at the household of her daughter, Helen Nichols. In the 1910 census, she lived at the household of her son, Andrew. Barbara died on October 30, 1915 in Westfield, Chautauqua County, New York.
