Biography

Leopold III. von Anhalt-Dessau, Fürst von Anhalt-Dessau, Herzog von Anhalt-Dessau, was born 10 August 1740 in Dessau, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany to Leopold II. Maximilian von Anhalt-Dessau (1700-1751) and Gisela Agnes von Anhalt-Köthen (1722-1751) and died 9 August 1817 in Luisium, Dessau, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany of fall from his horse. He married Luise von Brandenburg-Schwedt (1750-1811) 25 July 1767 in Charlottenburg, Germany.
