Linkpendium is a categorised link farm developed in 2003 by Karen Isaacson and Brian Leverich (who founded RootsWeb).
It has over 7 million genealogy links (adding over 90,000 in August 2008), of which 12% are U.S.locality sites, categorised by state and/or county.
The remainder are surnames, divided into 40 initial-letter categories and thousands of subcategories.
For example: the page called "Abe Family: Surname Genealogy, Family History, Family Tree, Family Crest" has listed at least 19 web pages relating to the "Abe" surname. They are grouped under nine headings such as "Cemeteries", "DNA Project", "Family trees and family histories", and "Mailing Lists and Message Boards".
The site invites submission of links. Links to Familypedia surname categories and county categories could qualify just as well as some of what is already there.
