Lloyd L. Wintrone (1936-2006) Worker (b. June 19, 1936 - d. December 04, 2006)
Lloyd L. Wintrone, 70, of the Town of Maple Grove, rural Barron, died Monday, December 4, 2006, at Dallas Healthcare Center. He was born June 19, 1936, to Bennie and Agnes (Briggs) Wintrone at Dallas where he was raised and attended school. On April 7, 1956, he was married to Beverly Koenig in the Town of Maple Grove. He worked in Chicago, Illinois, for a time where he served his apprenticeship as a block layer. He then returned to the Dallas area where he worked as a block layer until retiring. Beverly preceded him in death on July 10, 1966. On June 28, 1968, he was married to Jeanette Reddig at Pine City, Minnesota. For Lloyd, work always came first. In his spare time he loved to cut wood. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, berry picking, gardening and planting trees. In addition to his first wife, Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and one great-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Barron; son, LaVern (Leah) Wintrone of Chetek; daughters, Debra (Jerry) Elliott of Rice Lake and Cindy (John) Kurtzhals of Chetek; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Willie (Joyce) Wintrone of Chetek and Duane (Jane) Wintrone of Dallas; sisters, Darlene (Don) Solie of Chetek and Wanda (Rod) Provin of Chetek; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 8, at New Scandinavia Lutheran Church in the Town of Maple Grove, with Rev. Bob Friese officiating and interment in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes of Dallas and Cameron.
